Sentinel Agreement
Sentinel Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to individuals (“Sentinels”) who register with ParkSentinel Property Watch to provide on-site presence for clients. By accepting a booking, you agree to these terms.
1) Role & scope
- Observe & report only. You are not a security guard. No intervention, pursuit, or confrontation.
- Presence. You remain on or adjacent to the client’s site for the booked shift and report issues as instructed, for example calling the client contact and/or Police.
- Independent contractor. You are self-employed, not an employee of ParkSentinel or the client.
2) Conduct on site
- Follow all site rules and reasonable instructions from the client or ParkSentinel.
- No alcohol, drugs, parties, or visitors. Keep noise low and leave no trace.
- Use only agreed parking area(s). Respect neighbours and access routes at all times.
3) Shift options & pay rates
Paid per completed shift, typically up to 12 hours. Short-notice shifts mean 24 hours’ notice or less. Rates may be adjusted for special cases, extended hours, or multi-night bookings.
Standard (up to 12 hours):
• Observe Only — £40/night
• Observe & Presence Checks — £50/night
• Observe & Presence Checks with Dog — £60/night
• Observe Only — £40/night
• Observe & Presence Checks — £50/night
• Observe & Presence Checks with Dog — £60/night
Short-notice (≤ 24h):
• Observe Only — £80/night
• Observe & Presence Checks — £90/night
• Observe & Presence Checks with Dog — £100/night
• Observe Only — £80/night
• Observe & Presence Checks — £90/night
• Observe & Presence Checks with Dog — £100/night
- Payment timing. Paid after ParkSentinel receives client confirmation of a completed shift.
- Proof. You may be asked for a short check-in/check-out message and 2–3 photo time-stamps.
4) Short-notice & cancellations
- Short-notice. If you’ve opted in to 24-hour availability, short-notice rates apply when booked 24 hours or less before start.
- Client cancellation. Where the client cancels late, ParkSentinel may pay a proportion of the fee at its discretion.
- Your cancellation. Give as much notice as possible. Repeated late cancellations may block future bookings.
5) Insurance & parking position
- Your vehicle. You must be road legal, including MOT, tax and insurance, and park safely.
- Public liability insurance. If neither you nor the client has suitable cover for overnight presence, you may be asked to park on-street outside the perimeter, while still remaining visible, instead of inside the site.
- Dogs. Dog-assisted shifts only where permitted by client/site rules. You’re responsible for your dog at all times.
6) Safety & reporting
- Never intervene. If something looks wrong, observe and report as set out in the booking notes.
- Emergencies. If there’s an immediate threat to life or a serious crime, call Police on 999, then the client contact.
- Welfare. Keep your phone charged and available. Take reasonable steps to remain safe and visible.
7) Deterrent equipment
- Lighting. Sentinels may use motion-activated security lighting to increase visibility around the vehicle or site entrance during the shift.
- Camera. A motion-activated camera may be positioned on or near the Sentinel vehicle to record activity around the vehicle or the main site entrance during the shift.
- Placement. Where practical, external camera placement may be preferred for clearer recording quality.
- Purpose. These devices are used for deterrence, awareness, and documenting unusual activity or incidents.
- Responsible use. Cameras must not be used to deliberately record private residential areas and must be used with reasonable regard for privacy.
8) Branding
- Where supplied, display ParkSentinel magnetic signage while on shift. Remove and store safely afterwards.
9) Data & confidentiality
- Keep client and site information confidential.
- We process your data in line with our Privacy Policy.
10) Breach & termination
- We may end your access to bookings for serious breach, poor conduct, dishonesty, or unsafe behaviour.
11) Governing law
England & Wales law applies. Venue: courts of England & Wales.
